A multi-awarded engineer and researcher, Dr. Rossana Marie C. Amongo was appointed by the Board of Regents to be the first female CEAT Dean on June 2, 2021.
She started as Engineer II in the Institute of Agricultural Engineering (IAE) in 1991. Since then, she handled various administrative positions, led several research projects, initiated the utilization of agricultural mechanization technologies in the countryside to help uplift the lives of Filipino farmers, spoke in national and international scientific gatherings, and authored several technical papers, journals, books, manuals, and policies. Truly, Doc Rose or Ma’am Rose, as called by her colleagues, has been exceptional in terms of teaching, research, extension, and various administrative positions.
As dean, she would be taking to new heights her achievements and experiences in her 30 fruitful years of service. With this, the Department of Engineering Science wishes the best in all her endeavors as she leads the College and expands her sphere of influence.
Happy birthday, Dean Roseanne!
